Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Settlers After Dark app, provided by ScoutIQ LLC ("we", "us"). By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the app.

Who can use it

You need to be at least 13 years old to use Settlers After Dark. You need a phone number that can receive an SMS, because that's how signing in works.

Your account

• Keep your phone secure — anyone who can receive your SMS codes can get into your account.
• Don't impersonate someone else or sign up on someone else's behalf.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account.

Your content and your group

The game results, names, notes, and photos you put into the app are yours. You keep ownership of them. By adding them, you give us permission to store and display them within the app so it can do its job — showing your game nights to the people in them.

Game records inside a game night are shared with the other members of that game night. If you delete your account, those shared records remain with the group but are anonymized — see Delete account.

Adding other people

You can add guest players — people who don't use the app — so their results can be recorded. Only do that with their agreement. Don't enter someone else's phone number or personal details without their permission. You are responsible for the information you enter about other people.

Fair use

Don't:

• use the app to harass, abuse, or upset other people;
• upload content that's illegal, hateful, or obscene;
• try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems;
• use it for anything unlawful.

We can suspend or remove accounts that abuse the app or these terms.

The app is provided "as is"

We do our best to keep Settlers After Dark working and your data safe, but the app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that rankings will settle any argument to everyone's satisfaction.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, ScoutIQ LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Availability and changes

The app is currently in beta testing. Features may change, break, or disappear. We may modify or discontinue the app, and we may update these terms — if we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.

Ending it

You can stop using the app whenever you like and delete your account from inside it. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
