Common questions

I'm not getting the SMS code

Check the number you entered, and make sure you have signal. Codes can take a minute. If it still doesn't arrive, email us with the number you're trying and we'll take a look.

It signed me out

It shouldn't โ€” you should stay signed in between sessions. If you're being asked to log in every time you open the app, tell us what phone and OS version you're on; that's exactly the detail we need.

Someone entered a game wrong

Owners and admins of a game night can fix it. Open Game History, tap the game, and choose Edit to correct the players, date, or scores โ€” or Delete to remove it entirely. Rankings recalculate automatically.

How do rankings work?

There are several ranking methods, and a group's owner can choose between them in Settings โ†’ Ranking Method. The default blends a few classical rating systems; "Win Share" uses a Bayesian skill model that accounts for who you beat, not just how often you win. There's also an optional recency weighting setting that makes recent games count for more.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile โ†’ Delete account. Full details, and how to do it by email if you can't sign in, are on the Delete account page.

Can I use it in a browser?

No โ€” Settlers After Dark is an iOS and Android app. This site is just the front door.
